Installing a Validocs eNotary Seal is needed to complete your enotary application with the state. When applying, you will need to demonstrate that you have a digital seal and can use it to notarize a sample document in Adobe Acrobat.
Send an email with the subject line, "Notary Seal Creation" to Jeff.Weinert@Validocs.com. The mail must contain your :
First Name
Middle Name
Last Name
Notary commission Registration #
Notary commission Expiration Date
Your digital seal will be created and emailed to you.
You now have to use your digital certificate to create a digital notary seal in Acrobat.
In Adobe Acrobat, go to your Preferences
Mac: Acrobat > Preferences
Windows: Edit > Preferences
The Preferences window will appear.
Under "Categories", select Signatures
Your screen will look similar to this. Under "Creation and Appearance", select "More..." (If you are using an older version, this could be under Security)
The Creation and Appearance Preferences window will appear.
Under "Appearances" (at the bottom of the window), click "New..."
Give your signature the title of: FirstMiddleLast_Notary Seal_Exp.MM/DD/YYYY
Under "Configure Graphic", select "Imported Graphic" and then click "File..."
Upload the Validocs eNotary Seal we have sent you.
Under "Configure Text", make sure every option is deselected.
Make sure that your window looks similar to this, with the same options chosen and the "Preview" showing just your Validocs eNotary Seal. Then click "OK."
Your eNotary Seal is installed and should be all set for when you complete the enotary application.
